Brendan Rodgers has been sacked by Liverpool.
The Northern Irishman, who arrived at Anfield in 2012, had been under pressure after a slow start to the season.
His final game in charge was the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, which ended 1-1.
A joint statement from the club’s FSG owners stated “we believe it provides us with the best opportunity for success on the pitch.”
The likes of Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti have been tipped to replace Rodgers at Anfield.
