The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) commitment to securing the safe release of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State.

The assurance was given on Saturday in Abuja during the Nigerian Air Force’s second-quarter 2026 route march exercise. Representing the Air Chief at the event, the Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi, said the NAF remains fully dedicated to supporting ongoing security operations across the country.

According to him, the Air Force will continue to collaborate closely with other security agencies to safeguard lives and property while advancing Nigeria’s national security objectives.

Aneke stressed the importance of maintaining a physically fit and healthy workforce, noting that personnel in good condition are better equipped to meet the challenges of modern military operations and contribute effectively to security efforts nationwide.

He added that the route march exercise serves not only as a fitness programme but also as a platform to foster teamwork, camaraderie, esprit de corps, and overall wellness among personnel, strengthening the unity required for efficient service delivery.

The Air Chief also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his continued support toward the growth and operational effectiveness of the Nigerian Air Force.

He further commended senior officers, officers, airmen, airwomen, and civilian staff for their dedication, commitment, and active participation in the exercise.
