The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has challenged his critics to provide evidence that he diverted any funds donated to the Labour Party during the 2023 general elections, vowing to end his political campaign if such claims are proven.

Obi made the declaration on Tuesday during an exclusive interview on Nevon Media hosted by journalist Oseni Rufai.

The former Anambra State governor was responding to allegations that he and human rights activist Aisha Yesufu siphoned donations made to the Labour Party for the 2023 elections.

Dismissing the accusations as baseless, Obi questioned the existence of the alleged account from which he was accused of taking funds.

“I don’t go by people talking nonsensical things and listen to them. They said that we took N10 billion or $30 million from the Labour Party’s account. Where is the account?” he asked.

Obi further disclosed that he is compiling a list of individuals making the allegations and intends to challenge them to substantiate their claims.

“I’m going to include every accuser very soon in the list of the people I want to come out and prove that I took money from the Labour Party’s account or any financial mismanagement allegation.

“Look, if anyone can prove that I took one per cent of Labour Party’s donations, I will stop campaigning,” he stated.
