Wenger has spent over 19 years at the helm, and boasts three Premier League titles and six FA Cups during his spell so far. Arsenal though haven’t won the league since 2004 and their best Champions League performance came as losing finalists, as Barcelona beat them in 2006.

But the Mirror’s back page suggest that Wenger has already set the date he will step down on, and it comes at the end of his current contract with the Gunners. That means that Wenger will have just this term and one other full season at the helm before retirement.

The 65-year-old said at the club’s annual general meeting: “I know we face some adversity sometimes but I am more motivated than ever, more committed than ever.
