Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has reacted after Kilanko, a film by the late actress Allwell Ademola, received a nomination at a film festival in Toronto, Canada.
Salami announced on Instagram that Kilanko was nominated in the Best Film by a Female Filmmaker (Nollywood)category.
Reacting to the nomination, he wrote, “Shuga Boo see o. Congratulations. Kilanko got you a nomination in Toronto, Canada.”
He added, “So I will go represent us alone abi. All is well sha.”
Salami also thanked the festival organisers for recognising the film.
The nomination has been described as a posthumous honour for Ademola and another milestone for Nollywood’s growing international recognition.
