Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawunmi as the new Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU).
The announcement was made on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, in an official statement.
Professor Badejo, a specialist in Guidance and Counselling, was born on August 4, 1962. She earned both her Ph.D. and Master of Education (M.Ed.) degrees in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Her appointment comes as the five-year tenure of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, ends. Professor Olatunji-Bello is retiring from the university, paving the way for a leadership transition at the institution.
