The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dennis Otuaro, has commended the growing nationwide engagements led by Seyi Tinubu, describing them as a significant boost to youth mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Otuaro specifically praised the efforts of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour (RHNYT), noting its role in galvanising support for the reelection of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His remarks followed the South-South edition of the group’s rally held in Benin City, Edo State, between April 23 and 24, 2026.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Igoniko Oduma, Otuaro described the rally as a clear demonstration of solidarity among youths in the South-South region for President Tinubu’s continuity agenda.
“I congratulate Mr. Seyi Tinubu and members of the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour for successfully mobilising youths in the South-South in support of President Tinubu’s reelection bid,” Otuaro stated.
He noted that the turnout and enthusiasm at the rally reflect a strong regional commitment to sustaining the administration’s policies and programmes. According to him, young people in the South-South have openly endorsed the president’s second-term ambition, citing key developmental strides in the region.
Otuaro highlighted several initiatives under the Tinubu administration, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project, the establishment of the South-South Development Commission, and the signing into law of institutions such as the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland and the Nigeria Maritime University in Okerenkoko.
He also pointed to increased federal support for the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Presidential Amnesty Programme, as well as the appointment of youths from the region into key government positions.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering results in the South-South,” he said. “It is important for the president to secure a second term to consolidate these gains.”
Otuaro further applauded the collaboration between the Renewed Hope National Youth Tour and other pro-Tinubu groups, describing it as a testament to growing confidence in the administration’s leadership and vision.
