Nollywood actress Shan George has reacted to the ongoing marital controversy involving media personality Frank Edohoand his estranged wife, Sandra Edoho, condemning infidelity and stressing that silence during disagreements should never justify cheating.
In a detailed Facebook post, the actress argued that some individuals naturally withdraw or remain quiet while processing emotions during conflicts, noting that such behaviour should be approached with understanding rather than retaliation.
According to George, periods of resentment and silence are common in every relationship, including marriages, workplaces, and family settings. She maintained that how couples handle such moments often determines whether their relationship survives.
The actress warned against adopting a “tit-for-tat” attitude while unresolved issues linger in a marriage, insisting that infidelity remains unacceptable as long as a couple still lives together as husband and wife.
George further stated that any man involved with another man’s wife commits a serious moral offence, regardless of the problems existing within the marriage.
She advised women facing difficulties in their marriages to leave after exhausting all genuine efforts to make things work, rather than engaging in extramarital affairs.
Drawing a comparison, George referenced musician Mr Eazi, recalling an incident where he reportedly sent his wife an email during a disagreement instead of addressing the issue verbally.
The actress explained that not everyone is comfortable with confrontation, adding that some people prefer temporary silence while processing emotions.
In her words, couples must approach such periods with maturity and patience to avoid damaging their relationships further.
