President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, for his sustained efforts in tackling insecurity and safeguarding lives and property in the state.

The President gave the commendation while declaring open the second edition of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Tinubu praised Governor Radda’s commitment to securing Katsina State and protecting citizens from criminal elements threatening peace and national stability.

He also lauded the efforts of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State for their proactive approaches to addressing security challenges in their respective states.

In his response, Governor Radda expressed appreciation to the President for the recognition, attributing the progress recorded in Katsina to collective effort and the support of the people.

“This recognition belongs to the people of Katsina State and our gallant security agencies who have stood firm in the face of adversity. We are making progress because we are working together,” Radda said.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring lasting peace in the state.

“We will not relent. We will not be distracted. We will continue to support our security forces with everything they need until peace is fully restored to every corner of Katsina,” he added.

Governor Radda assured that his government would sustain ongoing security initiatives until total peace is achieved across the state.
