The event, held amidst pumps and pageantry filled with much funfair and excitements, where the club celebrated the remarkable journey over the past eight years with accelerated development.

The highlight of the occasion was the formal inauguration of the new leadership team. The Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Veeman Olateju Aliu warmly welcomed the new President, Veeman Kazeem Oshokoya, along with his newly constituted executive team.

The arrival of the president was another site to behold as the club members in their usual manner elaborately gave the new president a standing and loud ovation with guard of honour mounted.

Veeman Luqman Adefeso was also officially installed as Vice President, pledging to work hand-in-hand with the President to steer the club to greater heights.

Earlier in his keynote address, the patron of the club, an industrialist, and business mogul, who is the CEO Royal Gate Limited, The Club’s patrons, Mr. Oluwafemi Alabi lauded VMC members for their dedication and unity.

He emphasized the importance of members’ welfare, noting that the strength and success of the club lie in the collective well-being of its members and their families.

He urged continued solidarity and encouraged members to always prioritize each other’s welfare, stressing that true development begins from within.

 

He reiterated the need to always rally round each other in times of need and be a responsible husband and father at home. He enjoined members to collaborate and develop one another and also ensure they live within their means.

“The contribution of each member is crucial,” Mr. Olufemi noted. “Positive change starts from individual homes and extends to the club and the larger society. I encourage you to remain shining examples for others to emulate.”

The theme of the anniversary celebration, “Harnessing Cryptocurrency, Content Creation, and Digital Marketing as Alternative Sources of Income for Working-Class Adults,” reflected the club’s forward-looking vision of innovation and financial empowerment.

Delivering a keynote lecture on the theme, Prince Wale Onifade, New Media Aide to the former Governor of Ogun State and current Senator representing Ogun East, engaged the audience with insightful perspectives on leveraging digital technologies, creating valuable online content, and participating in the cryptocurrency economy as means to secure multiple income streams.

Outgoing President, Veeman Kolawole Idowu, who administered the oath of office to the new leadership, used his farewell speech to reflect on the club’s achievements during his tenure.

He expressed optimism that the new executives, under the leadership of Oshokoya, would build on existing successes and advance the club’s vision.

In his inaugural address, newly sworn-in President, Veeman Kazeem Oshokoya, expressed profound gratitude to the members for entrusting him with leadership.
He promised to serve with dignity and commitment, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, dedication, and unity among members.

“The journey so far has been rough and tough, but with God’s help and our collective endurance, we have achieved great things. We are ready to accomplish unfinished programs while unveiling new initiatives for greater achievements,” Oshokoya stated.

Awards were also presented during the event to outstanding members in recognition of their service and dedication to the club’s growth and success.
