Fresh concerns have emerged within the All Progressives Congress (APC) over alleged political intolerance and candidate imposition in Ogun East Senatorial District, with calls for urgent intervention by Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s national leadership.
The report, addressed to the President, APC National Chairman Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and members of the National Working Committee, accused Dapo Abiodun of actions said to undermine internal democracy and unity within the party.
According to the claims, a meeting convened on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu-Ode allegedly involved the use of state machinery and financial inducements to rally selected party leaders and members in support of a consensus senatorial bid in Ogun East.
The situation reportedly escalated with directives barring the sitting senator, Gbenga Daniel, popularly known as OGD, and other perceived loyalists from attending the gathering. Observers say the move raises serious questions about fairness, inclusiveness, and open competition within party processes.
