Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has stirred conversation after revealing that he recently gave out N10.2 million to people on the streets as his version of “tithe.”

In an interview with Broadway TV, the actor disclosed that the amount represents 10 percent of the N102 million he earned from movie roles in a short period.

According to Michael, his decision to give directly to the needy stems from his personal beliefs about religious giving. He emphasized that he does not attend church and does not subscribe to the idea of paying tithe within a religious institution.

“Not to brag, but I am the richest actor. The last time I checked, I realized I had made N102 million recently—not in my entire career, but just lately,” he said.

He added that instead of donating to churches, he chose to distribute N10.2 million directly to people on the street.

“I don’t pay tithe to the church. I don’t go to church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church,” he stated.

The actor’s remarks have since sparked mixed reactions, fueling ongoing debates about charity, faith, and alternative ways of giving.
